Writing with Flair (Pens) in 1st Grade!

My Project

Writers need many tools to help them write. This project will help my students get the writing tools they need in our classroom while learning in person. My students are kind, thoughtful, and creative. Regardless of their background, they strive to take on new challenges and learn each and every day. I have 20 students in my first-grade class. I want all of my students to be motivated to learn and have the supplies they need to continue to learn and grow. I was fortunate to have donors like you help my students get these pens for writing last year and they made a huge difference! I'm hopeful that this year's students will get to use Flair pens during writing, too.

Writers need pens to help them write.

These Flair pens are perfect for beginning writers because the felt tip has some drag to it that a ballpoint pen does not have. This helps beginning writers use fine motor skills as they learn how to write letters and words on their paper. Additionally, I am requesting a variety of colors. Each day students will get to write with a different color pen. This helps them see how much writing they complete in a day, how much they go back to add on, and aids them in setting future goals for their writing. These pens will help my students write lots of stories in 1st grade! Thank you for considering supporting my students! We appreciate you!
