Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students in my class are curious and inquisitive. They come from a diverse backgrounds. Their differences make our class community rich and interesting. They are kind and compassionate towards each other’s differences. They love helping each other learn. They come to school every day ready to learn and share what they know.
My students are very expressive about their thoughts and feelings.
They are not afraid to make mistakes or ask questions.
Most of my students do not have books at home to read. They bring books from school every day and bring them back the next. The books in our classroom are outdated which makes it hard for students to relate what they are reading to their life.
My Project
These materials will help make students and their parents life easier during the transition from a two years of remote learning due to pandemic to in class learning. Lots of families are going through hard time due to a job loss. These materials will help families who cannot afford to provide back to school class supply.
All my students will have good quality writing utensils to use regardless of their family financial status at this moment.
Please help me reach my goal before it is time for me to welcome my students back to school!!
