This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of amazing learners, which includes k through second grade levels. Our classroom environment is warm, welcoming, and student-friendly. My students are an amazing group of individuals with various abilities. Our classroom is full of students who are ready to learn and put forth great effort.
The gel boards and salt writing trays will allow my students opportunities to write their alphabet by practicing their letters.
They will also be able to practice writing their numbers. This will also provide a multisensory opportunity to write and finger trace high frequency sight words. Best of all this will be a rich tactile and fun way to write in the sand or the gel boards.
