This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students always love to tell stories. When writing stories, I get so much insight to who they are as individuals. But 6th graders don't only have to write stories. They also work on opinion and argumentative pieces that is backed up by research and explanatory essays. They have so much to learn about writing in 6th grade.

While the stories flow, they always need support with vocabulary and grammar.

Vocabulary brings writing to life, and many of my students are still learning so many different kinds of words. And without writing grammatically correct, it can hinder students in their writing process.

I am hoping to get my students vocabulary and writing journals that can help support them as budding authors.
