My Students

My class consists of nearly 95% of scholars who are reading below grade level. Many of my students come from homes in which the parents are uneducated themselves.

Our school is a Title I school that offers free and reduced-price lunches to nearly 100% of our students.

School lunch is the only meal many of our students receive during the day. Our school is in a critical state. We are a part of the lowest 300 schools in terms of reading proficiency.

My Project

Take of your journals, is something students hear every single day in the classroom. When you have your journals, it is easy as pie, but when you don't then the awkward moments begin. It is also the start of falling behind in class. Composition notebooks are used in every area of the classroom. Students will use the notebooks to create an interactive learning experience. During the lesson students are able to complete assignments and also create reference notes to reflect on while studying. Students will be able to use the composition books in reading, writing, science and math.

Stopping the worry of not having basic school supplies would mean the world to my students.

Being prepared for class, helps students put their best effort in class. Please consider helping my students start the year with essential classroom supplies.
