it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every day, my ENL students engage in literacy routines to help them listen, speak, read, and write in English. In order to implement a daily differentiated literacy routine to help students learn the connection between sounds and spelling patterns, I need more whiteboard markers and whiteboards.
Students take more risks with writing when they can erase easily.
More advanced students will be using the markers and whiteboards to capture a dictation and notice which spelling patterns for sounds occur at different places in words. Students who are newer to English will be writing the missing spelling patterns on their boards and then checking their work. These resources will help all students participate no matter how much English they have.
