This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from diverse families and have diverse needs and learning styles. I teach at a Title I-funded school and despite the lack of resources and challenges students face on a daily basis, they are an energetic and enthusiastic group and have a love for learning. They come to school each day ready and willing to work hard and apply their new skills. Unfortunately, due to limited funding certain materials and resources are necessary to enhance the curriculum and are not readily available. My students will greatly benefit from having Magnetic Writing paper as well as Write and Wipe Sentence Strips to help enhance their writing skills. A giant classroom timer will support my students with staying on task while they create their pieces of literature. These essentials will help my students build their writing stamina and a love for writing.
