My Students
Writing for success actually begins in Pre-K! Many of the students in our classes have poor fine motor control and have a very difficult time forming letters correctly. The "Scribble and Write" tool will be another inviting activity to reinforce letter writing!
The students in our pre-K class are three, four and five year olds that have been screened and found "at risk" for development in either cognitive, language or motor areas.
Fine motor control, writing letters, takes a lot of practice. We provide the students with many different kinds of writing tools: dry erase boards, chalk, tracing sand paper letters, and traditional tools. However, when certain students need much more practice with writing development, it takes many different approaches to keep their interest.
My Project
The Leap Frog Scribble and Write is an innovative tool for teaching young children to write letters. Students trace the lights to get practice drawing simple shapes and pictures, then graduate to learning upper and lower case letters with step-by-step guidance. Fun learning games help reinforce letter recognition and pencil control skills.
Our students will love to learn how to write letters!
The next step in our students' education is the "The Big Kindergarten".
Our school wide goal is to graduate our littlest learners to be successful. Writing is one of the "3 R's". Writing and reading go hand in hand!
