My Project
My students have a lot to say, but nothing to write! They see writing as an overwhelming combination of vocabulary, spelling, and organizing ideas.
My goal as a teacher is to share my love of writing with my students. Writing is a way to clarify our thoughts and share our stories.
Resources like About Me journals and special pencils motivate my students to get started and to keep writing when it becomes challenging. Tools like spelling dictionaries and our trendy sight word bracelets empower them to push past spelling and focus on getting their ideas across.
