My Project
Teaching proper letter formation, handwriting and spelling to students is important for a number of reasons. I am requesting dry erase lap boards and dry erase markers for my students to use during phonics and spelling instruction.
Handwriting in the earliest grades is linked to basic reading and spelling achievement.
Every day in Phonics and Spelling we will be practicing how to form letters properly, how to write words properly, and how to write and structure sentences properly in order to become proficient readers, writers, speakers and listeners.
By giving my students dry erase boards and markers we will be able to take off running at the beginning of the school year and this will allow them to practice penmanship, spelling and writing efficiently and effectively.
