My Project
Currently, I am attempting to make writing come alive for the 5th-grade students in my building. It is my goal to aid students in the development of effective communication skills. My project is special because writing is one of the most fundamental forms of communication. I work in urban schools, where many students come from diverse backgrounds and face various challenges, and being able to express themselves clearly and effectively is crucial.
I feel that there is an urgency for a strong writing program that will help students develop these skills, giving them the tools they need to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
This project is unique because it would be vital in encouraging critical thinking. It would help students to analyze information, organize their thoughts, and express ideas logically.
Finally, you should strongly consider funding my project because the skills that we utilize, along with the desired resources, will prepare our students not just for today, but for the Future. In a growing society, there are many careers that require strong writing and organizational skills as a prerequisite to landing certain jobs.
Together, we can build the foundation by allowing them to be exposed to different helpful writing types that will give them a snapshot of what the future holds. During this project, students will create organized writing books that will be placed in binders, along with the utilization of colored paper, electric staplers, and whole punchers. This will be another way to inspire a greater love for writing in a well-organized way.
