Writing Materials To Draw Observational Pictures Of Living Things

My students need markers for everyday use in the classroom. They need film and batteries for their Fuji camera to be able to take observational pictures and document their science experiments.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My preschool students are children who are three to five years of age. My school is in sunny California where children come to school each morning ready to learn and grow! There's never a dull moment in our class. My students are busy bees moving from one interest area to another. They're eager to learn, explore, engage and experiment with the instructional materials and centers I set up for them. My students need instructional materials to engage with to foster their interest in technology, literacy, math, science, art and engineering. They also, need instructional materials to support their social and emotional learning, to help them grow into well rounded individuals. Every single one of my students deserves a fair chance at having his or her potential nurtured and fully developed. My little ones have an insatiable curiosity, that's why it's important for me to have a class with a variety of instructional materials to meet their educational needs.

My Project

My students need the Mr. Sketch Scented Watercolor Markers, Chisel Tip for everyday writing and drawing activities. My students are using crayons and markers on a daily basis to support their fine motor development. Every day they are instructed to draw a picture in their Study Book related to the current Study they are learning about. They are given open ended questions pertaining to a certain topic of the Study and asked to draw a picture to go along with their dictation. My students also use the markers to write their name in the daily sign in sheet, these writing exercises fosters fine motor skills and writing practices. Furthermore, the Fujifilm color film and Duracell Batteries with be used for my students recently acquired camera in effort to support environmental science learning. My students will take pictures of their science experiments and living things in our school yard to support their retention of knowledge derived from their science activities.
