Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third grade​ students are energetic, inquisitive and innovative English Language Learners. They enjoy learning through hands-on projects, responding to visual cues, and working collaboratively to discover new ideas and skills.

They think of innovative ideas and different ways to do things.

Due to a lack of materials and equipment, my students sometimes are not able to put their fabulous ideas into action. With your help, my students will have the materials to enrich their minds. My students and I are profoundly grateful to you for your generous donation that will surely transform their eager, bright minds.

My Project

Writing is an essential skill that students need to learn. Most of my students struggle with getting their ideas down on paper and writing about special moments with detail.

These books will provide an incentive to those hesitant writers and an outlet for proficient ones to express their diverse experiences.

Each student will have their own book that will hold a collection of narratives from their cultures and experiences. They will have to select draft pieces, go through the entire writing process, and carefully publish them in these hardcover books. Along with their writing, they will add illustrations that provide even more incentive. Throughout the school year, they will be able to add narratives and by the end of the school year have all their hard work in one book!
