This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are creative, active, loving, full of questions, and inspiring! They absolutely enjoy fun, hands-on activities in our inclusion classroom.
They are active learners who need hands-on activities throughout the day in order to allow them to explore and interact with one another.
Early Childhood Education is the focus of our school. We offer bus services that bring students from all over the city with different backgrounds and challenges. About 90% of my students come from low-income families. Although my students are exposed to different learning strategies and are constantly on the go while learning, they need hands-on activities and a safe environment that allows them to focus and emerge as strong readers. By having this extra support we will be able to provide them with opportunities to meet their needs. These preschoolers are really an amazing group that fills my day with their smiles, questions, and original ideas.
My Project
Writing tools are so important in preschool. Our students are in the process of developing different types of communication skills.
Letter and numbers writing cards can help improve not only students fine motor skills but they can develop a new form of communication by sharing and writing new words with precision and understanding.
Writing needs practice and by use reusable dry eraser cards, the students will have plenty of time to rehearse their letters and numbers that little by little they will put together to assemble words and be able to read them to communicate their different needs.
