This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As many of my students often lack paper and pencils for class, providing them a regular notebook to keep their notes, writing prompts, and journal entries in will benefit them and provide them a means of organization. These will provide them with the means to continue their literacy development and engage with writing in a personal space.

Writing builds literacy, and everyone needs literacy in their lives.

By providing these materials (pencils, paper & pens), not only will we be strengthening literacy skills within the classroom, but we will be engaging literacy within the community with writing projects at home.
