Writing for Readers

Each student (25) need 1 copy of Manuscript Writing Workbooks.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Baldwin's classroom raised $315

This project is fully funded

I teach a wonderful, talented, ready to learn group of second graders. We are a focus school in a low income status community. The parents do all they can to support, but we do not have a lot of money to buy materials. We need help.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! Our school community is wonderful, but we do not have enough money to buy certain resources. Each teacher is expected to teach handwriting, but the cost of some resources are not in the county/state budget. The funds to purchase some materials has been cut. One resource was the manuscript and cursive writing books. Each teacher has to teach handwriting and it would be wonderful if each child can have their own learning tool.

Each child needs their own manuscript writing workbook. Each child would practice manuscript by using the learning tool you are helping to purchase. Each child would have the manuscript writing tool right in front of them, instead of struggling to look on the board. I would be able to guide each student and address their needs as I circulate and view their writing. They would be able to take their books home and practice their handwriting. Later in the year they will neatly write beautiful stories, poems and thank you letters to you and others. Handwriting is a must in elementary school. They must have a good writing foundation.

Your help will ensure that my students have a great writing foundation. Writing is for others to read. When others read my students writing, they will compliment their great penmanship. They will be able to write interesting, beautiful stories and poems neatly. You will build their confidence, by allowing them the opportunity to write neatly and not be ashamed of their penmanship. Handwriting is essential. We must understand what a person wrote, before we can enjoy the journey.
