My school district has not adopted an English Language Arts curriculum since the 2010s. The materials we have are dated. They don't draw upon the best available research, and they do not align with each other. This makes it difficult to offer children targeted instruction that inspires them to write. Instead of working carefully with students to provide the exact instruction they need to grow, teachers need to spend their time planning how to use what we have and where we must supplement.
I am asking for an updated, research-based writing curriculum.
This curriculum has been extensively tested and is both fun and challenging for young writers. When children are invested in what they're learning, they are inspired to work hard and do their best. Moreover, this program aligns with our reading and phonics instruction, so that our language arts block can be as purposeful and memorable as possible.
