it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are English language learners. Many of them come from various parts of the world, they are diverse in their cultures, and they speak different languages. In other words, they are very special! They bring so much to my classroom. They come to my program to learn a new language and new content, not knowing that I learn so much from them as well! They also contribute so much to their own classrooms and to our school.
We learn about their languages, their cultures, their foods, their beliefs, their traditions, and their celebrations.
They bring the world to our learning community!
My Project
Learning how to write is an exciting experience. Students jump for joy when they are able to write their first words or their first sentences! As an ENL teacher of kindergarten and first-grade students, it is important to provide them with the tools they need to help them in this important writing journey.
Giving each of my students a notebook and pencils as a gift on the first day of school prepares and motivates them to learn and to write.
It also shows them that they are special!
The students will be able to use these materials whether they will be learning in school or at home.
