This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students absolutely love writing. The curriculum we use for writing often prompts and encourages students to use different styles of paper structures. At the moment we only have a 3 drawer organizer which is not enough and makes it hard for student to access materials effectively and efficiently. There have been times when materials get mixed up resulting in lost writing time.
The supplies listed would be great for organizing different paper choices for my nonfiction authors.
The paper choices allow students to structure their nonfiction chapter books in a creative and fun way. Choice gives students more buy in, which is why my students adore writing time.
The laminating sheets come in handy when providing students with small group instruction and conferencing about their writing . The date stamp allows me to stamp their books to see how long they have been working on a book. This helps students to pace themselves.
A new and improved writing center would be an amazing addition to my classroom.
