This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is made up of 18 curious, creative, and fun young learners. Our young students are super excited to visit learning centers of their choice every day. The bulk of our learning happens through center play and exploration. We have many different learning centers in our classroom. The writing center is very popular with our class.
In the writing center our young learners are exposed to different beginning writing and letter concepts they need to prepare them for emergent reading and writing skills.
Our young learners would greatly benefit from more hands on and engaging materials when they choose to visit the writing center.
Magnetic letter builders will help our students master the lines and curves that form uppercase letters in a fun hands-on way. These magnetic letters builders would help our young learners develop skills in letter recognition, letter building, and fine motor development needed at this very important young learning stage.
Magnetic upper and lower case letters will help our students with letter recognition and formation. It will also help them explore different ways of putting the letters together to make their names.
A magnetic letter fishing game will be a fun hands-on game to practice more letter recognition and get our young learners to talk about letters they find.
