My Students
My Kindergarten class is in Northeast Florida in a rapidly growing county.
My goal for the summer is to have them continue their love of reading, which we have worked so hard on during our year of remote learning.
As we end the school year, all 22 kindergarteners have grown and thrived in our distance learning class. Even though we are learning remotely, with the teacher in the classroom and the children safely at home, they have worked so hard to become a school family and learn as much as possible.
My Project
After a more than a year of socially distanced learning, the incoming kindergarten children will need many opportunities to learn to work in small groups and centers to learn their letters, writing and math.
The children will be eager to use the chart stand to practice writing letters and numbers, use magnets to spell words and solve problems.
The easel is large enough that a small group of children will all be able to work together to complete activities. It will also be easy to move around the room to different centers where children will be working.
