Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are just beginning to understand that writing has meaning. Clipboards will help them feel like real writers and give them a dedicated space to scribble, draw letters, or copy words. They will learn that print is all around them and serves different purposes — labeling, storytelling, instructions, etc. This reinforces the idea that writing is a useful tool.

My students can choose where to go and what to write about within the classroom, fostering independence and decision-making skills.

My prekindergarten students will use the clipboards during all subject times and will use the writing activities during literacy time.
