My Students
My school is a Title I school, with over 45% of the population receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Resilience is the word that can better describe the young people in my class.
My students love challenges and take part in every project I offer them, whether to volunteer and help others, tutoring their peers, or being involved in the Italian community in our city.
They work hard, are highly motivated (I step in when they are not) and deserve to have access to the best learning opportunities.
My Project
Help me give my students notebooks and reward stickers in Italian! My kids are hard working and motivated, coming back to school in person for the 2021-2022 school year after a year and a half of pandemic restrictions and online learning.
My main goal is to empower them with their own success and to have these bright kids claim back the ownership of their learning.
Nothing can help me achieve this more than tools for writing and reward stickers to make them feel good about their learning.
More than half of our student population belongs to low socioeconomic backgrounds and our school is Title 1.
