My Students
I have been delighted with the most ambitious, hardworking, and persistent kindergartners in the Pacific Northwest. This unique bunch came together to create our integrated kindergarten program. This program is comprised of students with special needs and typically developing peers working together to navigate the wonderful land of kindergarten.
We are a community of thoughtful, intentional, and inclusive citizens who value and appreciate the individual needs of each person that walks through our door.
We are accomplishing more than academics, we are striving for loving and intellectual community members.
I am so thankful for my class, they are ready and eager for any challenge I bring forth. They explore, create, and engage in every activity. The smiles and laughter make each day worth it. Watching them grow and learn has been the highlight of my year.
My Project
As we transition back into the school building we are still practicing social distancing and ensuring safety for our students. My room is only so big and the desks we have in kindergarten are for sharing and hard to move. I have been searching for a way to give students more seating options and allow us to spread out safely. These desks will be essential to becoming strong writers and mathematicians. I have used them at another school and saw students flourish with them.
I want my students to have everything they need to feel like they can achieve everything they want and more.
These desks are the key! I can see them changing our classroom environment for the better.
