Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The specific items will help all my students bring out their creativity and become better writers. Students enjoy writing and we are missing some items that will help them be more successful in their stories. With the crayons and coloring pencils students will be able to bring color to their stories.
Flexible seating increases students' focus by helping them lean or rock and helps the oxygen from the brain flow helping them focus and be more alert when in the classroom.
Bean bags are great for students to sit back and create masterpieces in the classroom. It is an option for writers to sit down and bring out the best in their writing and reading.
The use of headphones will help them listen to different types of stories and research new topics to add to their writing. Some students in our classroom are English Language Learners, headphones are a great tool to help them understand what they are reading and writing in a new language.
New books will students will be able to listen to a different type of story that will help them create conversations in their stories. My class currently loves series books. When they read these they can create conversations in their stories that will enhance the adventures they are writing about.
