Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in Oklahoma City, where 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and breakfast. I am starting my third year of teaching because I love becoming a part of my students' success and I realize these students need someone passionate about teaching.

Our students come to school with a variety of hardships that we couldn't imagine.

However, I cannot allow them to use that as an excuse to fail. In my classroom, I turn those hardships into motivation to overcome whatever obstacles are in their way.

My Project

With this project, my students will get a new printer, ink, and paper to use in the classroom. The printer and ink will allow us to print our final writing pieces. The students are learning the writing process and the final step is to publish their work. They currently have no access to a printer during class. The printer will also allow us to copy and scan to the computer.

Children live in a world full of technology and color, they should be able to print their work.

We are in great need of a color printer and ink cartridges. This new color printer will benefit all my students. They will be able to print class projects. I would also use this color printer for interactive grammar and reading assignments. The printer will allow us to print our work and print in color for daily classroom use. Help us to enter the world of technology and print our work.
