Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My amazing first-grade students are bright, motivated, and one-of-a-kind individuals. They put a smile on my face each and every day, and they all enjoy coming to school and succeeding in the classroom. I feel so blessed to be their special education teacher, and I am lucky to work in such a rewarding field.

Our classroom is in need of a mobile chart stand and storage center to promote hands-on learning during small group activities.

The chart stand is the prefect height for the students to engage in our language arts and math activities. The stand comes with a magnetic dry-erase board, which will be used by the teachers and students in the classroom. The students will have the ability to write, draw, and manipulate our magnetic letters and numbers to demonstrate their knowledge and show what they have learned. The chart stand comes with wheels making it easy to move around to the different areas throughout the classroom when needed for various centers or activities. The stand comes with a storage compartment at the bottom, which helps with organizing our materials and books for the week to enable easy access during group times. Students will have access to the mobile stand throughout the day, such as during literacy center, math center and independent learning.

Your generous donation will provide my students with disabilities the extra support they need to become successful and confident learners. This is difficult to do with a a lack of supplies and funding, which is why your help is so very important and much appreciated. You are enhancing the learning experience of so many students!
