This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

D-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y Works!! In a changing population, of high risk children and non-English speakers, taking every opportunity to learn is so very important.

What better time to learn than with your peers. It's the most popular, stress free period of a kindergartener's day and why not take full advantage of RECESS. Even the distractions provide a chance to learn.

Watch the efforts of our youngsters as they're instructed by their peers. Writing makes perfect, and the idea of providing wipe off boards outside will definitely make the difference. Markers and boards will easily build fine motor skills and a sense of ownership to outdoor story writing to be shared with all. Our kinder courtyard becomes the perfect palette for the world's finest writers of the future. In between the jump ropes, balls and messy sidewalk chalk how about taking a little time for the "WRITE STUFF."

Just know that as these little ones move along in life, they'll be able to look back and thank the wonderful supporters of DonorsChoose.org for their priceless donation. Just make the "write" choice and we'll do the rest.
