My Students
My 28 students are tired of having to share materials! It is not very engaging to watch a partner write the answer on a board.
I am the lucky teacher of 28 second graders.
My students come from more than ten different countries and speak 14 different home languages! My school focuses on immigrant, refugee, and neighborhood students. Over 85% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. My students deserve high quality materials and experiences, which are often denied to them due to home and school budget issues. You can help give them the high quality educational experiences they deserve.
My Project
My students love using the whiteboards in my classroom. Students write answers to questions that I ask or show on the board. This is a very engaging activity that is particularly beneficial to my English Language Learners. However, we do not have enough boards due to the increase in our class size. The old boards have cracks, marks that were not erased and smudges. These new boards have lines on one side, which will help my second graders who are practicing their handwriting. Another exciting feature of these whiteboards is that they are magnetic! Magnets are a world of fun for second graders and getting to use them to build words in phonics lessons will be an interesting and exciting activity!
Your generosity will help provide my students with whiteboards, which will keep them engaged and actively learning.
These new whiteboards will allow all of my students to use these great tools at the same time. Thank you for supporting my awesome second graders!
