Our writing curriculum for Kindergarten is in desperate need of supplemental resources! The current curriculum we have is falling apart, missing a majority of necessary materials, and very outdated. The stories used to accompany current literacy curriculum do not engage the students. I want to ensure my students have resources that are rigorous and engaging to help them succeed.
Due to district budget cuts, it is not possible for my school to purchase new curriculum materials to replace everything that is missing or outdated.
I am requesting the a gift card for Teachers Pay Teachers to purchase writing resources by Deanna Jump. All of these supplemental curriculum resources are aligned to the Common Core State Standards for kindergarten. I was fortunate enough to attend a teaching conference where Deanna Jump presented. Her resources are so engaging for students and I was impressed with the impact her sample resources have had on my students' academic success. I would love to have the full version of these resources in my classroom to supplement the current curriculum we have with new, updated, engaging tools that my kindergarten class would greatly benefit from. I would use the handheld dry-erase boards during whole group for students to practice writing words and sentences on. I requested the sentence-building center to help students develop their writing skills.
My students and I greatly appreciate your support. Please help us receive the resources we need to excel our writing to the next level!
