My Students
Students in my class are engaged, inquisitive, empathetic, and creative. I am the 3rd grade teacher at a K-5 Elementary School in San Francisco, California. In this urban setting, my diverse group of students are joyful learners and everyone brings something unique to the classroom community. We have a diverse range of languages, socioeconomic status, religions, ethnicities, and races. With your support, students can access education in a more rigorous, dynamic, and contemporary way.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge and learning opportunity.
Artists, mathematicians, readers, writers, scientists, and superheroes- your donations will help them achieve and see success academically and socially.
My Project
Imagine teaching twenty third graders through a screen. Pretty difficult, right? Now magine that you could not see the work they were doing at their Distance Learning workstations at home. With the use of small personal whiteboards, tiny erasers, and dry erase markers, my students will be able to demonstrate their fabulous knowledge to their curious teacher!
Distance Learning is best when it is meaningful and engaging.
Using whiteboards for students to "solve it, write it, show it, share it" is a proven method to increase engagement and meaningful interactions between student and teachers.
More than half of students from low‑income households
