This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With a class set of Expo markers, whiteboards, erasers, and dry erase sleeves, I want to transform the way my students experience math. These tools allow for an immediate shift from passive to active learning. Students will no longer just watch math happen—they’ll be writing, solving, revising, and collaborating in real time.

The whiteboards and markers offer each student a personal space to think through problems and test strategies without fear of “messing up,” while the erasers encourage a growth mindset by making it easy to adjust and improve.

Dry erase sleeves will let us reuse printed activities over and over, offering hands-on practice without constantly using new paper.

Every one of these supplies will empower students to engage deeply with content, take academic risks, and visualize their thinking—all essential for building problem-solving confidence. With your support, my classroom will become a vibrant math lab where every student has the tools they need to actively learn and lead.
