Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These scissors and color paper will help my student by having an alternative assessment instead of a traditional test. Students will be able to have a presentational assessment at the end of a unit by writing a card in Spanish to whoever they want. The students will be able to demonstrate what they have learned in this way instead of just writing a paragraph. The students will be able to use the vocab learned in Spanish to write to a pen pal.

My goal is for the students to use the language learned in class and write a letter in Spanish to demonstrate the mastery of the language for the unit.

This activity shows how useful learning the language can be. The students will be able to do this instead of a traditional exam with multiple choice questions.
