My students need 4 different colored book bins to correlate to individual reading levels, a bookshelf to store the bins, Wobble chairs to help my students exert energy while working, and stools for flexible seating.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is one of the most unique learning environments in central Florida. I am a bilingual teacher where 100% of my classroom are Spanish speaking and are all from regions in Central and South America.
I recently have had students join my classroom from Puerto Rico due to the devastation left from Hurricane Maria.
I believe in building relationships first and foremost, as most of my students didn't leave their country by choice but merely for survival. Teaching bilingual is my calling.
My Project
My students need various kinds of flexible seating in order to be most successful in our classroom environment! My students have spent time researching the benefits of flexible seating. Their research shows that flexible seating will help improve their test scores and grades because they will be able to focus more in a spot that helps them be the most successful in their learn. Flexibility and a choice in where they learn within our classroom, gives them a chance choose where and how they would best learn without being confined to a traditional desk and chair. I will be using the wobble chairs at the computer station and the stools at the teacher table.
I need the books on cd to be visually organized, so that each students knows their pre-identified colored level when retrieving their bin.
The book bins and bookshelf will be used in conjunction with a listening center, that I would like to have up and running in my classroom. I need to show how books and cd players are treated with respect and properly used to maximize usage. They will use the listening center during center rotations to promote prosody and oral reading fluency.
