My Students
Have you ever gotten so excited because you finally learned how to play a song? My students need to feel this with these Ukulele's!
All of the students at my low income school don't get the chance for private music lessons or an awesome guitar for Christmas.
They are enthusiastic about learning music, they get so excited when they pick out chords on our limited supply of glockenspiels! Wouldn't it be amazing if they could pick out these songs on ukulele's instead? Let's face is, glockenspiels are for little kids, the kids I want to pay the ukulele's are sixth through eighth graders.
My Project
Studies have shown that music helps makes connections in the brains of children. Studies have also shown that students that are involved in music programs or more likely to go to College! I'm asking for a class set of Ukuleles so that my students can finally play some instruments that will translate the music they like!
We need to get these kids excited about playing music before it's too late!
Studies have proved that whatever you do in middle school sticks with you the rest of your life! Let's let the music stick with these kids for that long. What a great gift!
