My students need one digital camera to capture all the great learning and character building we are instilling in our students.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Heckel's classroom raised $226
This project is fully funded
I am in charge of student recognition and am the community liaison for my school. I run a student of the month program and take pictures of events to publicize the great things that are going on in my school.
Beyond the school walls, our school is looked down upon because we are considered "the dumping ground school." People think nothing good is going on here. However, this could not be further from the truth! By having great publicity out in the community, I am out to change the public perception of this great place. On top of that, the student of the month program reinforces to students that their character does not go unnoticed. Their photos adorn the walls of the main hallway and all students aspire to hang there.
I have been using my own camera for the past three years but many times I miss out on those spontaneous moments because my camera is at home. I would love to keep a camera to keep at school so I don't miss anything. Some of the many uses I have for the camera are; to recognize students of the month, and to submit pictures to fellow community partners that display them in their restaurants or businesses. With a digital camera to keep at school for student recognition and documentation, I would never miss those wonderfully brilliant spontaneous moments for the community and the whole school to see.
By providing the school with a digital camera, I could more effectively and efficiently recognize all the wonderful goings on in this building.
