it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The other day, our school received a threat, which naturally left my students shaken. We spent the day reviewing safety plans to reassure them and ensure everyone knew what to do. We discussed where to hide, how to cover the windows, and the importance of staying silent. While I didn't share all of my concerns with them, I knew I had to take further action.
Worst-case scenario: If we go into lockdown for hours, how do I handle my students' needs if they're hungry, thirsty, or need to use the restroom?
So here I am, preparing for what could be the worst day of our lives, hoping the food and water I’ve stored expire untouched and the emergency restroom never gets used.
