My students need an instruments from around the world collection to explore and better comprehend cultural diversity. They also need a class set of crayons.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I wish I could put all my students on an airplane and have them explore the world. Since this is not going to happen, the next best thing is bringing the world to them.
I teach 25 first grade students.
Our classroom is made up of English language learners. Most of my students live in high poverty and our school is located in an urban district.
My students so far have shown an interest in learning about themselves, those around them, and their communities. Now I would love for them to explore the world that goes beyond their city, state, and their country.
My Project
I want to make teaching and learning social studies more authentic to my students. One of the ways in which I plan to do this is to bring the world to them. With the instruments from around the world, my students will be able to learn about rhythm and music while they learn about different cultures.
If you make this donation, it would make a world of difference (pun intended).
I plan to promote cultural awareness by using materials that will spur my students' interest. These instruments will definitely do that.
