The children in my classroom are pre-k and kindergarten students! This is their first step on their educational journey. Most of them are experiencing school and socializing with same-aged peers for the first time. My students are a part of a wonderful and loving school family. At our school, we emphasize the importance of community!
Hands-on learning is key to success in early childhood education!
In my class, we use workstation (center time) as a way for students to practice new concepts within small groups or with buddies. Through the use of the All About Letters Pocket Chart and Alphabet Train Floor Puzzle, students will learn how to recognize and name letters. These tools will also help them understand the sounds that letters make and give students the chance to manipulate and write their letters.
Through the Accelerate Math Activity Centers, students will be able to fully engage in counting, comparing, and adding numbers together. When students are able to touch, feel, and take ownership of their learning, they are more successful in learning new concepts!
