This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My third graders are superstars because they want to learn all they can, so they can be successful in school and in life. Despite challenges and hardships they face, my students are eager to learn and do their best.
My students are growing and learning in a school community that inspires me everyday.
We are a community that shows compassion, flexibility, resilience, creativity and integrity. They are our future and we want them to have a long successful school experience. Our students come from similar economic backgrounds with a majority of our students receiving free lunch.
My Project
A comfortable and spacious workspace makes the classroom more productive and less stressful. Students will be able to feel less cramped if they spread out a little with a long desk we can place against a wall. It allows them to focus on their work in front of them. The rolling carts will help keep our library in one designated place, that is if we need to move it from one location in the room to the next. We currently have the books in baskets on the floor and it saddens me to see them kneel to the floor to search for books, when they can easily be accessible with a cart.
