My Students

I work with children that have seemingly insurmountable obstacles in front of them. I hope to give them a hunger for learning and realize that it can be fun.

I teach in a rural public school in East Tennessee.

We have approximately 100 Kindergarteners each year that would benefit from this project. These children are precious and I hope to be able to give each child every opportunity to succeed in school.

My Project

I have been trying to create a hands-on learning environment for my students so learning becomes fun for them. Kids in Kindergarten have a limited attention span for pencil and paper but if they think they are playing a game like Snap-Together Letter Blocks or Sight-Word Tactile Cards they seem to go on forever!
