My Project
In my special education classroom, my students are learning how to self-monitor their off-task tendencies while working on academics. My sweet students are in constant motion. Sitting all day long is a lot to ask of 5-8-year-olds. They want and need to move. I have different seating options available in my room, but none provide a sitting surface that also allows movement. These chairs will allow 6 of my students to wobble, rock, and roll while they work. This will increase their engagement in the lessons they are learning. The movement can also give much-needed sensory input. I want to provide my students with the tools they need to be successful learners. They deserve it!
