Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a Third Grade teacher with more than 10 years of experience, I get emotional every time I see my students move forward in their educational paths. Moreover, I begging to wonder how can I improve my student’s learning for the next school year.
I work in a Title 1 elementary school located in Orlando FL.
My classroom demographic is composed of 10 boys and 8 girls, with an 80 % of Hispanic or Latinos’ students. All from low income families.
I would like to provide them with a special and comfort seating so they can work every day during our centers time. This is a very rigorous time for them since they spend a long time working in groups or independently on the ground.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
