Working Towards Mental Wellness

My Project

So many students identify as "not a math person!" It is so easy for students to give up. It is my job as a teacher to find ways to encourage students to feel - and be! - successful when it comes to mathematics.

I have found that flexible seating, fidget toys, and mood lighting go a long way into empowering high school students to take a moment to breathe and focus!

From enabling students to use cushions and sit on the floor to giving them the ability to use a fidget toy to focus, this project is designed to help students with math trauma be successful in the classroom!
