My Students
I never go through a day without a student's big smile and a happy wave in my school. My students come from a high-poverty area where resources are stretched thin. We are a Title I school where 83% of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
Often, my students struggle in school and really deserve the supplies they need to meet the standards they will eventually be tested on.
They are all visual learners and need concrete examples to help them understand and comprehend their learning skills.
My Project
My kindergarteners love to work hard and earn money to spend or save! In my classroom, we have a class store they can shop from. The students have several different ways to earn money. They can complete homework assignments for money and be rewarded for awesome behavior.
We need help refilling our class store to have new items for the students to purchase.
Each week, they will have to decide to spend or save their money. They look forward to going to the store on Fridays to see what is new and available to purchase with their hard earned money! They are going to love picking from the LEGO glasses, sidewalk chalk, light wands, canvas bags that will be personalized with their names, and so much more!
