I work in a school, in a classroom with children that are eager to learn. I teach in a Title 1 school that is located in an area of New York City. Many students come from low income homes, where little or no English is spoken at home.Children in this school are very special because they come from diverse backgrounds. They come from all over the world and are so excited to learn. My students come to school full of life. They walk into my classroom ready to learn.
My Project
My students need a variety of flexible seating options but my starting point is to implement a kidney table in the classroom in order to create an engaging environment that will support my student's diverse needs.
I love to see my students grow as they work with their peers using the kidney table.As their teacher, everyday I aim to foster their love of learning by being in an environment that is enjoyable and where students feel safe and engaged.
My students are very enthusiastic for learning and their excitement for learning is exhibited daily as they support each other to learn.
