Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are juniors and seniors who currently work while going to school. They take Diversified Career Technology to get high school credit while keeping a job. My students work very hard to keep up with their schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and social life going while they work. Most of my students pay for their own school activities, while some also help their families make ends meet.
My students all have different obstacles they face on a daily basis.
Some work to have extra spending money while others work to pay for their rent. They come from all socio-economic backgrounds and we strive to even out the playing field by providing instruction on the latest technology available to improve their marketability in today's ever-changing job market.
My Project
My students deserve the best! More than three-quarters of my students come from low-income households. They work hard at school and out in the real world, and the items I am requesting will help them have the best technology out there. The large 27 in the monitor will allow them to work together and not have to share the small monitors they share now. The iPad will allow them to also work together to create their projects.
