Working Remotely With Interactive Slides

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are Latino and African-Americans. About 90% to 95% of them receive free lunch. They have special needs with varying disabilities ranging from developmental delay to other serious health impairments. These students range from 1st to 3rd grade, and they are so much fun to be around. They have taught me to laugh at myself and most importantly how to put one foot in front of the other and move one. They are amazing!

My Project

Since my students are working remotely, computer work can become boring. Interactive slides are the right tool for them. The colorful slides keep them engaged and they also address some of the goals in their Individualized Education Plan.

Some of my students have a very short attention span and moving and dropping objects in different slides maintain their attention longer than just writing in a document on the computer.

These slides address language arts, as well as math and I, can modify some of them to fit their individual needs.
