Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first year teacher I have come across many items that I know would make my classroom more inviting, comfortable, and secure for my students. With that being said I am requesting test dividers, a tape dispenser (for obvious reasons), laminating sheets to ensure papers and projects will last longer and be more durable, and a classroom rug to place in my library.
All students deserve a classroom where they are able to thrive and achieve success without having to worry about providing materials they may not be able to have.
Test dividers will ensure privacy and security for my students during various assessments, this year I have struggled with keeping testing private as I have been unable to provide dividers. A tape dispenser is a huge necessity for many things, simple yet so important for myself and students. Laminating papers have been hard to afford having these donated would make a huge difference ensuring papers last long and remain durable through entire units. Lastly, my library nook is quite empty having an inviting rug would encourage students to pick up a book and read. Reading is so important for young learners and being comfortable while doing so would be beneficial. Overall, all items in my project would help my class work toward success!
