This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the future! For most of them this is their first time going to school and are having a bit of a hard time adjusting but I'm sure once they are used to us, they will be able to enjoy school.
I want to help my students feel that they belong at school.
By creating a space where they feel welcomed and loved, they will look forward to coming to school. Therefore, I am asking for some tools that will help me create the environment that fits their needs.
My Project
Fine motor skills are so important in the early years and we have been working on developing our small muscles. We have torn paper, played with play dough and laced beads but now need more materials that will help my students strengthen their small muscles.
The magnetic boards will help develop writing skills but also reinforce other skills such as matching, tracing and sorting.
My students are learning to properly hold writing and or drawing tools. These boards will help them master the skills smoothly.
The play dough mats will teach or reinforce alphabet knowledge.
The creature builders and clip and create builders will also work their small muscles.
